Lucy Jones!

Lucy Jones was born in 1955 in London and she often does lots of acrylic paintings. She does lots of self portaits. She has Cerebral Palsy which effects her movement which will effect her paintings.

This picture is called 'Just Sitting' and it was drawn in 2005.

I think you are marvelious the way you cope, i think this means that she is proud that she hasn't let her disability get in the way of her life. Also, she could have been told that from her doctors, friends, family and people that look after her. She has used dull colours for her painting because she might feel upset that she is different and feels ashamed of her condition.

Cornfield! x

Wheatfield with crows.

By Vincent Van Gogh

Date 1890

This image was painted by Vincent Van Gogh,
a very famous artist born in 1853 and died in 1890.
In this picture, it shows a massive wheatfield
with many crows picking at the crops.
Also, it shows a nice blue sky with
different shades of blue to make it blend in.
I like this picture because it is
brightly coloured and is very well detailed.
I think it is happy and sad because it shows
the wind blowing and the corn going from side to side and it uses bright colouurs but also, it is quite sad because it also uses dull colours that doesn't give it a very good effecft.
